MM2H Silver Visa

Long-term residence for investors, retirees, students & families.

5 years and Renewable every 5 years thereafter

The following dependents are allowed:

  1. Spouse
  2. Children (biological/adopted ≤ 35 years old)
  3. Disabled Children (no age limit)
  4. Parents & parents-in-law

Note:

  • Dependent children are allowed to pursue their education up to tertiary level in any Government recognized higher learning institutions in Malaysia.
  • Dependent children are allowed to use the existing MM2H or be granted a Student Pass automatically.

5 years, the same duration of the validity of the main MM2H applicant

Not permitted to work in Malaysia, but remote work is allowed.

Note: working rights are allowed for platinum tier holders

Student Pass

Student’s temporary stay limited to period of study.

Up to a year, or the length of the study period if shorter

  • Need to be renewed every year with fresh documentation and fees, not later than 3 months before expiry of current student pass

Only one parent or guardian (typically the mother) may apply for a Guardian Pass.

Upon approval of the first guardian pass, the other parent may then apply for the second Guardian Pass, subject to eligibility and current policy.

Work is not permitted for both Guardians.

must demonstrate a minimum monthly income of around RM 25,000 from abroad, and higher income requirements if the family has more than one child studying in Malaysia.
